Campaign Operations Platform

Creator campaign metrics, in one place.

Oper8 is a campaign operations platform. Creators connect their social accounts, including YouTube, and Oper8 pulls read-only performance metrics so teams can track campaign progress in real time.

How It Works

Read-only access, maximum transparency

When a creator connects their YouTube account to Oper8, here is exactly what happens and what does not.

Read-Only Metrics

Oper8 pulls video view counts, likes, comments, and shares from connected YouTube channels. We never upload, modify, or delete any YouTube content.

Creator-Authorized

Creators explicitly authorize Oper8 through Google's OAuth consent flow. Only the youtube.readonly scope is requested, the minimum needed to read channel and video data.

Encrypted & Secure

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and stored server-side. They are never exposed to client browsers, logged, or shared with third parties.

Transparent Data Use

YouTube data is used solely to measure campaign performance: matching Shorts to active campaigns and displaying metrics to authorized team members.

Revoke Anytime

Creators can disconnect their YouTube account at any time from within Oper8. Revoking access stops all future data syncs and clears stored tokens.

Compliant by Design

Oper8 complies with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, Google API Services User Data Policy, and Google's Limited Use requirements.

Data Practices

What we access, why, and how it’s handled

Full transparency on how Oper8 handles YouTube API data, in compliance with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Data accessed
Channel metadata (name, ID, profile image) and video performance metrics (views, likes, comments, shares) for YouTube Shorts.
Scope requested
youtube.readonly: read-only access to the creator's YouTube channel and video data. No write or management scopes are requested.
Purpose
Matching creator Shorts to active campaigns and displaying aggregated performance metrics to authorized internal users and the creator.
Storage
OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using Rails Active Record Encryption. Metrics are stored in a MySQL database. All infrastructure runs on Railway (backend) and Vercel (frontend).
Sharing
YouTube data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or transferred to any unrelated third party. Data is only visible to the creator and authorized Oper8 team members.
Retention
Data is retained for the duration of active campaigns. When a creator disconnects their account or is removed from campaigns, tokens are cleared and metric syncs stop.
Deletion
Creators can request full data deletion by emailing support@weoper8.com or using the in-app account disconnect flow. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Google API Disclosure

Oper8’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Oper8 uses YouTube API Services to access publicly available video metadata and performance metrics associated with a creator’s authenticated YouTube channel. This data is used exclusively to display campaign performance metrics within the Oper8 platform for the creator and authorized Oper8 team members.

Oper8 does not use YouTube data for advertising, does not sell or transfer YouTube data to third parties, does not use YouTube data to build user profiles for advertising, and does not use YouTube data for surveillance. Access is limited to the youtube.readonly scope.

You can revoke Oper8’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
